wedding blues

My oldest son (birth) Jake is getting married on Saturday to a young woman I really like. I should be happy and excited buzzing around in anticipation of this event, or so I think. The reality is that Rick had to drive 4 hours one way to pick up one of our girls (18 years old) who will probably never be able to get herself anywhere. I drove the opposite direction to pick up our daughter who is in residential treatment so she could attend the wedding. Meanwhile we had our 3 year-old grandchild for several days so her mother could travel across country for her job. Did I mention that there are 12 people from this house who need to dress up fancy and look good for wedding photos that cannot do this for themselves. Well that is counting me who can dress myself and dress all the others. Rick is wearing a tux, but I had to order it and make sure it got picked up. The girls all wanted a pedicure and a manicure, what little or big girl wouldn't. But who does this? Me. I am not really complaining. I want all those things too and want to look good for the photo that will up on the fireplace mantel for the next how many years. But heck, I am a gardener and a mother of many so it takes alot of fixing to get to the looking good part, not to mention that I noticed that our dog whom I bought a new flea collar for 2 weeks ago was infested with fleas. I have spent most of my last day at home to rid the dog of fleas so he can spend the night at Jake's house. Jake has graciously loaned us his home for the event so we don't have to drive two hours home 2 nights in a row.

The good news is, PMS is over as of yesterday. Anyone who has PMS and has it bad knows what this can mean to any Event.

I never do my nails but am going to do them for the second time today because the flea stuff ruined my first manicure.
